The خواجہ غلام فرید دا عرس honours the greatest poet of the Saraiki language at his shrine in Kot Mithan, in the Dera Ghazi Khan division (Rajanpur district), where the Waseeb gathers each year in poetry and devotion.
Who Was Khwaja Ghulam Farid?
Khwaja Ghulam Farid (1845–1901) was a Sufi mystic of the Chishti order whose Diwan-e-Farid made the kafi the soul of Saraiki literature. The Urs
The annual urs at Kot Mithan combines devotion with literature: alongside prayers, qawwali and langar, the occasion is marked by kafi singing and poetry gatherings celebrating Farid’s work. The shrine is administered by the Auqaf & Religious Affairs Department of Punjab.

At the Shrine of Khwaja Ghulam Farid, Kot Mithan, near the Indus in the Rajanpur–ڈیرہ غازی خان region. Dates follow the Islamic lunar calendar and are announced by the Auqaf Department.
