Ahmad Nawaz Cheena is a contemporary Pakistani Saraiki folk singer and actor from Bhakkar, a city in the Saraiki-speaking belt of South Punjab, Pakistan. Known for his warm, expressive voice and his renditions of Saraiki folk songs centered on love, longing and everyday rural life, he has built a large and devoted fan base across Pakistan and among the Saraiki diaspora abroad.
Cheena has released a steady stream of albums and singles through Saraiki folk music production houses such as Moon Studio Pakistan and RohiRang Production, and has also appeared in Saraiki-language films and television dramas. Beyond his recording career, he is recognised as an advocate for Saraiki language and culture, performing at cultural festivals and community events that celebrate the traditions of South Punjab.
