Ghulam Bibi Bharwana (born 5 May 1970) is a Pakistani politician from Jhang who was elected to the National Assembly of Pakistan across four consecutive terms between 2002 and 2023. She is among a small number of women in Pakistan repeatedly elected to the National Assembly on a general, rather than reserved, seat.<\/p>\n
Bharwana holds a BA from Lahore College for Women and an LLB from the University of the Punjab. She was first elected to the National Assembly from NA-87 Jhang-II on a Pakistan Muslim League (Q) ticket in 2002 and served as Minister of State for Education. She was re-elected in 2008 on the same ticket.<\/p>\n
Bharwana was re-elected in 2013 on a Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) ticket, later resigning from the National Assembly in December 2017 in protest alongside other PML-N lawmakers.
