Rana Mahmood-ul-Hassan (born 27 March 1970) is a Pakistani politician from Multan who has served as a Member of the Senate of Pakistan since March 2018. He was previously a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan and the Provincial Assembly of Punjab.<\/p>\n
Hassan was elected to the National Assembly from NA-150 Multan-III on a Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) ticket in 2002 and was re-elected in 2008. He lost the seat to Shah Mahmood Qureshi in the 2013 general election, before winning a Provincial Assembly by-election from Multan in 2015.<\/p>\n
Hassan resigned his Provincial Assembly seat in March 2018 to contest the Senate election, winning a general seat from Punjab as an independent candidate backed by PML-N. He was re-elected to the Senate in 2024 from a general seat representing Islamabad.<\/p>\n
